The Knowledge in Action Career Internship Fund (KACIF) helps GW students defray living and housing costs so they can pursue high-quality, necessarily unpaid internships. Thanks to the support of donors, qualified students are offered KACIF grants up to $3,000 to foster their career exploration. One of KACIF’s many benefactors is the GW Alumni Association, which established the ‘Colonials Helping Colonials’ fund to support KACIF. This fund brings to life the philosophy of ‘Colonials Helping Colonials,’ which calls on Colonials across the GW family—from long-time alumni to recent graduates—to take responsibility for helping each other and setting a positive example for all alumni.
Members of GW’s Board of Trustees, including Steve Ross BBA ’81 and Scott Amey MS ’75 also have been generous supporters of KACIF.
